| Comments: | Dean, a very pleasant couple of hours looking thru your web-site, admiring your skills with the camera, and seeing some sites that I remember from my visit to Portadown 1973-1976 with the Army, surely the barriers aren't the same one's I used to chain and padlock in the evenings to prevent any unpleasantness? I went to stay with a friend in March of 2004 at Richhill and he took me all over the six counties but Portadown was always a favourite place and I hope to go back again soon for another visit, ah! the sausage sandwiches and the tea made for us by the nurses at the old Craigavon Hospital, it wasn't all unpleasant. | Comments: | Dean, I have spent the past couple of hours viewing your beautiful photos and reading the guestbook messages. I grew up in Redmanville, and like Marty Williamson (Guestbook - July 2003), 'fogged' apples from the orchards, jumped the Ballybay River (fell in a few times!), and walked on the river when it was iced over in the severe Winter of the early 1960s. Also, before the town's swimming pool was built, we had several 'swimming pools' in different parts of the river. Swimming togs weren't needed then -we couldn't afford them! Finally, I like your messages, not just about nature. I will check your site again, so keep the photos coming! |

I think I may have recognised my brother Byron in one of them! I have been living overseas for quite a long time now and was truly impressed at the outstanding beauty of the town and the surrounding area. I have asked myself why didn't I see all of this when I actually lived there.
